Shorter Days and Cooler Temps

PEAKSBOATS.png

Good morning! Shorter days and cooler temps act as a signal to plants and trees around us to get ready for winter, what better time to notice your body’s own progressions.

Look forward to more class in the grass with a canopy shedding confetti colors around us. It’s Standing Pilates time! The start of the season for mastering the art of the single leg balance, for sitting back into a single leg squat, for lunges with the crunch of leaves underfoot, and accompanying squats with calf raises, jumping jacks, and switch lunges.

But maybe that’s just me?

Maybe you’d prefer a bedtime stretch for healing night, or full body refresh with tools to release tension, create flexibility, and perfect your posture. Face yoga with your face wash? Footwork? Here’s what’s in the Peaks Body fall Homebody Virtual Library.

It’d be nice to notice a progression with The Elephant this week. Not to mention The Pigeon. The combination of core work while releasing tight hips and hamstrings is oh so satisfying.

Shining a light on the elements of movement, a few upcoming class concepts.

  • When are patterns of movement creating pain in your body over time?

  • How do we balance our unique structure, spontaneity, discipline, and freedom?

  • Can the passion of one’s life get woven into the fabric of their body rather than worn out?

See you soon!
Michelle
